The two-day event was hosted by Matheson, in partnership with Deloitte, IBM and the Dublin City University Ryan Academy. As part of Matheson’s Smart Programme, the event focused on Blockchain technology and the business opportunities it brings. The event invited Matheson employees to pitch and develop ideas based on Blockchain technology during the hackathon. Ideas were judged based on creativity, innovation and feasibility.
AID:Tech COO & co-founder, Niall Dennehy, presented the audience with the AID:Tech Blockchain platform and use cases including one where international aid was successfully delivered to Syrian refugees.
