We are recruiting for a talented individual to support AID:Tech’s ongoing  tender and proposal application process. As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of all bids and tenders.

Our ideal candidate is a natural self-starter with a positive attitude. Ability to liaise with a multitude of stakeholders and be flexible and willing to manage the bid process from start to finish. It is crucial to be able to translate basic facts and figures into informative and relevant messaging, in tone and pitch, especially as much of AID:Tech’s products and services are about bringing disruptive innovation to many industries and sectors.

You would need to have a keen eye for detail and proofing are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all bids and tenders through entire cycles, including review and preparation processes, dealing with queries / requests for clarification, and providing supplementary information on bids
  • Completion of questionnaires and proposal documentation
  • Bid Writing: creating and editing engaging content whilst ensuring correct tone of voice
  • Reporting and analysis of bid related activity
  • General writing support for company documents, sales opportunities and online activity
  • Work directly with the management team – for relevant strategization through the cycle of a bid and/or sale opportunity
  • Create and maintain relationships with subject matter experts in the wider business teams
  • Continuous product and service knowledge
  • Creating and Maintaining a tender library
  • Maintaining the highest level of accuracy at all times

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Third level qualification, preferably in a Journalism, Business, Marketing or IT discipline or relevant experience
  • Strong experience in bid writing, project management, digital management
  • Relevant experience in a sales environment preferred (not essential)
  • Proven ability to work under (volume and time) pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter with an ability to work on own initiative
  • Background in software or IT industry

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Visio, MS Project, Prezi, Trello, Team Gantt and any design software
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Docs
  • Flexible approach to working
  • Ability to be outgoing and confident in their dealings with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Prior experience in a varied role requiring skills to multi-task and prioritise
  • A fast learner with exceptional organisational skills
